摘要
Kemzyme W Liquid is a multi-enzyme preparation composed of endo-1,3(4)-betaglucanase, endo-1,4-beta-glucanase, alpha-amylase and endo-1,4-beta-glucanase. Kemzyme W Liquid has been already provisionally authorised for the use as feed additive for the animal categories chickens for fattening and turkeys for fattening. Kemzyme W Liquid is for inclusion in diets with higher content of non-starch polysaccharides, mainly beta-glucans and especially arabinoxylans. The European Food Safety Authority received a request to assess the safety of Kemzyme W Liquid for the laying hens, A tolerance test carried out with laying hens over an 8-week period with the 10-times overdose (1.5 g kg(-1)) of Kemzyme W Liquid produced no evidence of any adverse effects on performance or mortality. FEEDAP Panel notes that the duration of the study (8 weeks) is less than that recommended by SCAN. However, there is no evidence that the product would not be tolerated considering toxicological profile and target animal safety data for other animal categories.
