摘要
A model is suggested to describe the superionic state in solids. The model is based on the dominant role of short-range ion-ion interactions in the mobile ion sublattice. Long-range Coulomb forces are assumed to be reduced between conducting ions owing to screening of the ion surroundings of the opposite sign. This leads to the possibility of the appearance of short-living ion-ion pairs consisting of mobile ions. The short-range ion repulsion between paired ions results in an "effective" decrease in potential well depth or, in other words, to a decrease in the activation energy of the ion transport.
