The luminescence of SrCl2-Pb single crystals in a temperature range of 4 K-295 K is studied. Depending on lead concentration, excitation and temperature the emission spectra consist mainly of two groups of bands. The excitation spectra of the different emission bands are also reported. The relative intensities of the bands depend on the exciting energy, lead concentration and the temperature. The complicated structure of the spectra can be connected with different lead centres formed in SrCl2. Some of the emission bands might be connected with transitions from two Jahn-Teller wells on the APES of T-3(1u) in Pb2+ centres of O-h symmetry.
