摘要：
Some speculations and data on the synthesis of Chevrel phase materials with the general formula MM prime //xMo//6S//8 (M equals large metal ion, M prime equals small metal ion) and M prime //xMo//6S//6I//2 are presented. Furthermore, it is supposed that certain Chevrel phase compounds possess catalytic properties.
