摘要
The structure of rice husk following acid and alkali treatments has been studied in optical microscopy. The existence of two types of silica in sites other than the epidermal portion is proved. Micrographs of the pyrolysed product are presented, elaborating the mechanism of whisker formation. Amounts of pyrolysed products obtained with different catalysts and at different temperatures are tabulated. Results of XRD, SEM, TEM, and density of the purified product are also given.
