摘要
The molecular fluorescence emission rate factors for the strong bands of the nitric oxide gamma system have been calculated using a high resolution solar spectrum and individual rotational line strengths. The results show that the intensity of the Earth's day airglow, when viewed with resolution insufficient to resolve the details within a band, does not vary significantly with the temperature of the atmosphere. At higher resolution, the effect of temperature is observable. The present results are significantly different than those of Barth(1,2) due to an approximation by the latter which is removed. © 1969.
