摘要
In this article, the influence of independent control parameters of a tribometer such as normal load, sliding velocity and slinding time or distance in the sliding friction tests of a austenitic-ferritic stainless steel at ambient conditions using statistical analysis tools, are shown. The steel in study was characterized in surface properties such as roughness and hardness. Dry friction tests were performed on tribometer ball on ring type with an experimental design based on an orthogonal array of Taguchi. The friction coefficient resulted in average values from 0,213 to 0,891 for the evaluated conditions. With the techniques of statistical analysis as the ratio S/N and Anova, the significance of the control parameters friction test was determined on dry lubrication and optimum combination to minimize sliding friction was obtained. All parameters were statistically significant in the experiments, as well as their interactions. Of the three parameters assessed sliding distance proved to be the most influential parameter for dry sliding friction of the austenitic - ferritic stainless steel studied.
