摘要
Effects of seed provenance was studied on the yield and quality of winter wheat, the varieties Kosutka, Agra, Danubia and Viginta. The seed was grown at four ecologically different sites - maize-, subar beet-, potato-growing regions and in the East-Slovakian Lowland, and the performance of individual varieties and origins have been studied. It follows from the results obtained until now that the seed from maize-growing region gave the highest yields at all sites under study whereas the seed coming from colder and less favourable regions gave the lower yields. The origin of the seed exhibited the significant difference on the yields of different varieties whereby the highest yields were observed in the Viginta variety. Significantly highest values of all studied traits were found out in the origin from maize-growing region (number of grains per spike and number of productive spikes per 1 m2). The strong correlation (r = +0.519++) was found between grain yield and number of grains per spike where the highest values were demonstrated in crops coming from warmer zones.
