Influence of the bleaching of trapped electrons on the kinetics of indole ring delayed fluorescence in rigid polar media

摘要
A biphotonic delayed fluorescence (DF) emission is observed from polar rigid solutions of various indole derivatives under UV excitation. At 77 degrees K, the kinetic growth of the DF emission which depends upon the irradiation conditions can be expressed as a sum of two exponentials under monochromatic UV irradiation. The DF emission occurs from the recombination of two types of trapped electrons which are responsible for the growth and decay kinetics. A comparison between the properties of the DF emission and those of the stimulated luminescence produced by the visible-Light-stimulated electron-cation recombination makes it possible to explain the DF properties on the basis of a trap photoionization produced by the exciting UV light.
