摘要
The knowledge-based system GSH (''Galenisches Entwicklungssystem''), as developed especially for the pharmaceutical development of drug products, is described from both the informatic and pharmaceutical viewpoints regarding its inference, knowledge base and functionality. The GSH is an efficient aid for the development of the most important dosage forms, such as solutions, tablets, powders for capsules, etc. After input of the product requirements, drug properties and any general criteria, the system utilises optimally the expert knowledge in the knowledge base, and provides a proposal in the form of a formulation, the necessary production processes and the predicted properties of the product.
