The purpose of this note is to review the relationships for mean free path and mean random spacing for two- and three-phase microstructures and to extend the relationships to higher order poly-phase microstructures. These relationships may be applied directly to microstructures encountered in the dual-phase" microstructures developed in properly processed HSLA steels. © 1978."
