摘要
This paper is a result of our intention to put more emphases on forensic aspects of criminal investigation of fire, which is insufficiently presented in the scientific literature. In the domain of criminal investigation of fire there is a need to implement specific approaches, methods and equipment because of the nature of physical evidence and circumstances, which are completely different from those in other crime investigations. Certain preconditions have to be fulfilled for successful fire investigation. Taking into account that fire is a complex and specific phenomenon, there is a need to provide further specialization of crime investigators in this field as well as the importance of multidisciplinary approach in investigation of such phenomenon.
