DEBYE TEMPERATURE AND MELTING-POINT IN A(I)B(III)C(2)(VI) AND A(II)B(IV)C(2)(V) CHALCOPYRITE COMPOUNDS

摘要
The relation between Debye temperature, theta(D), melting point, T(m), and compressibility of ternary chalcopyrite compounds is discussed. A simple model to calculate theta(D), based both on a simple lattice model and recent calculations of the bulk modulus of these compounds, is proposed. Reasonable agreement is found with the available data for both AIBIIIC2VI and AIIBIVC2V compounds. Also, the melting points of these compounds are estimated from the Model.
