An original specimen of Aecidium otagense Lindsay on Clematis paniculata Gmel. was located and a lectotype designated. The 1st record of A. senecionis (Pers.) Lev. (syn. Puccinia lagenophorae Cooke) from New Zealand is discussed. P. aorangi G. H. Cunn. on Celmisia spp. is reduced to synonymy with the earlier described P. egmontensis G. H. Cunn. Uromycladium notabile (Ludwig) McAlp. is probably restricted to Acacia spp. with bipinnate leaves, whereas U. tepperianum (Sacc.) McAlp. is found on those with leaves reduced to phyllodes or spines. Two rusts, P. microspora Diet. and P. zoysiae Diet., are newly recorded from New Zealand, and 38 additional host records for rust fungi previously known from New Zealand are listed.
