摘要
In this article, the author proposes an analysis of the novel Plata quemada (1997) by Ricardo Piglia, from the postulates of Men and Masculinity Studies. Through these, we examine the purpose of the imaginary about the role of male gender, with regard to the origin and development of violence. We also study the influence of the concept of phallogocentrism in the homosexual man, and the influence of women in the construction and dispute of masculine roles. The center goal is to review how the patriarchal and heterosexist culture is present in the homosexual male as well as in the rest of the society, projecting itself in his vision of the world and in his behavior dynamics, and also as a coercive factor in his relationship with other individuals and groups around him.
