摘要
A technique for correcting the phase of a radio link interferometer is described. The method relies on the use of a point source as a reference in order to correct the phase of other sources within the telescope beam. Test observations with a 127-km baseline at 408 MHz observing frequency are presented and discussed in the light of the known properties of the ionosphere and troposphere. It is concluded that at this baseline and frequency irregularities in the ionosphere limit the method to within [Formula presented]to 2° of the reference source. © Royal Astronomical Society • Provided by the NASA Astrophysics Data System.
