PHASE CORRECTION TECHNIQUE FOR RADIO LINK INTERFEROMETRY

A technique for correcting the phase of a radio link interferometer is described. The method relies on the use of a point source as a reference in order to correct the phase of other sources within the telescope beam. Test observations with a 127-km baseline at 408 MHz observing frequency are presented and discussed in the light of the known properties of the ionosphere and troposphere.
