摘要
A study of the photo-dynamics of the N-V center in diamond is reported utilizing techniques for the optical detection of spin coherent transients. We focus on the dynamics of the defect in a magnetic field, when cross-relaxation and auto-crossing affects the intensity of the 637 nm line emission from the N-V center. Enhancements in the decay rates of the spin coherent transients of the defect in the 3A state by a factor of about three are observed when the spin sublevel spacings for the probed N-V centers and magnetically inequivalent N-V centers become alike. © 1990.
