摘要：

An unusual small-bowel obstruction caused by a membrane encasing the small intestine in the manner of a cocoon in a 7-year-old male who had no previous history of abdominal operation, peritonitis, or prolonged drug intake and who was successfully treated by lysis and excision of the membrane with incidental appendectomy is presented.
