摘要
The boom of photography and museums begins with modernity. Since then, close bounds have been created between them. The mission of preserving and communicating, which is the main purpose of museums, creates an interest and is also an appeal to photography artists who carry out aesthetic projects around the museum duties. The analysis proposed in this document lies in the study of Thomas Struth's work, his work on museums and the spectacle critique derived from museums' exhibitions. The author of this article, who is a research-photographer, performs a parallel study based on his experience and his work at the Carnavalet Museum in Paris, showing his aesthetics ideas and adopting a historical viewpoint. Furthermore, he reinforces the democratic role that is currently being played by museums within a cultural atmosphere.
