Wiki-based collaborative learning in higher education: a pedagogical evaluation

摘要
The added value of wiki technologies lies in their potential power to support collaborative learning. One of the most important wiki technologies is MediaWiki - a collaborative web-based technology that allows multiple users to easily and quickly contribute to upload, build, and develop content on the web. MediaWiki applications are dynamic, constantly changing pages where users become collaborative authors. The aim of this paper is to allow students in higher education to develop wiki applications using the MediaWiki technology. This article also reports on a pedagogical evaluation of the wiki applications and technology by means of self-evaluation, peer review, and survey questionnaires.
