The activity coefficient of oxygen at infinite dilution at 1573 K was redetermined using solid oxide galvanic cells with the Ni(s) plus NiO(s) reference electrode. The oxygen potential for Cu(l) plus Cu//2O(s,l) have measured. The first order self-interaction coefficient of oxygen and the standard free energy change of solution were determined in the temperature range from 1373 to 1573 K. The chemical potentials of Cu(l) and Cu//2O(l) under the condition that Cu(l) is in equilibrium with Cu//2O(s,l) were evaluated.
