摘要
The incidence of coronary heart disease is declining in the general population, but its prevalence and impact is increasing as the number of order citizens increases. Although seniors with coronary heart disease have not routinely been enrolled in cardiac rehabilitation programs, research has demonstrated significant health benefits for most older cardiac patients participating in exercise programs based on standard training principles. Current cardiac rehabilitation programs may require simple modifications to accommodate the needs of older cardiac patients. These patients should be encouraged to maximize their health and independence by making cardiac rehabilitation programs part of their regular follow-up routine.
