摘要：
Measurements of splay (K-11) and bend (K-33) elastic constants in 7CB and 8CB are reported. The method involves measurement of voltage dependence of capacitance and K-11 is obtained directly from the Freedericksz threshold voltage. K-33 is extracted from the nature of the C-V curve by a method first suggested by Uchida and Takahashi(4). Our results are in good quantitative agreement with the available results.
