Teacher training of Religious Education: the impact on the identity of a curriculum component

摘要
The presence of Religious Education in the school curriculum has been troubled. Hence the importance of knowing the history of disciplines and understand the process of training and professionalization of teachers. This article discusses aspects of the training of education and their teaching identity to draw a parallel with the training of teachers of Religious Education. Research shows like 'state of the art' which span the period between 1995 and 2010 regarding the provision of training courses and scientific production. The research in the field of teacher training for Religious Education in the Brazilian argue with greater emphasis on continuing education and also realizes the lack of a systematic reflection to check the performance of graduates with teaching practice. However, it is clear that Religious Education is configured as an area of study and community of scientists who engages in research and extension.
