摘要
The preparation of a range of lead(IV) complexes by metathesis of lead tetraacetate with di- and tri-carboxylic acids is described, and these compounds have been characterised by a combination of H-1, C-13 and Pb-207 NMR spectroscopy. Some of these compounds represent the first complexes of lead(IV) to have been prepared from podal ligands. These complexes can be used for the alpha-arylation of beta-dicarbonyl substrates, in comparable yield to that achieved with lead tetraacetate.
