摘要
In this paper we discuss inter-firm cooperative R & D arrangements of 135 large industrial firms in the Federal Republic of Germany. We explore the various forms these cooperative arrangements take, the scope of the activities among cooperating partners, motivations for initiating cooperative arrangements, criteria used in selecting partners, and the problems that resulted due to these arrangements, criteria used in selecting partners, and the problems that resulted due to these arrangements. This research was completed when the authors worked together at the Institute for Managerial Innovation Research at the University of Kiel, F.R.G.
