SLIPPAGE AT A POLYMER-POLYMER INTERFACE - ENTANGLEMENTS AND ASSOCIATED FRICTION

摘要
The tangential friction during the slippage at an interface between two molten weakly incompatible polymers strongly depends on the entanglements between the two melts. In a dynamical picture we derive the density of entanglements when the slippage velocity is V. For V larger than a threshold value V*, this density decreases with V, leading to a decrease of the shear stress at the interface.
