摘要
Reflection electron microscope (REM) studies of surface structures and surface dynamic processes are reviewed. The techniques, image contrast and capabilities to characterize surface structures are described. REM has been successfully used to study surface dynamic processes such as sublimation, surface structural phase transitions, adsorption processes, epitaxial growth processes, gas reaction processes and surface electromigration. These results are briefly summarized. Finally, some future problems are discussed.
