摘要：

In the Czech Republic, containerized planting stock has been already planted for 40 years. Abidance of proper technological principles in forest nursery and afforestation practice is indeed the basic precondition for good work. The crucial point is to avoid the future disturbance of stability and health status of stands. Each new kind of container and growing technology has to be thoroughly verified from this point of view. The impact of container shape and growing technology on root system formation and root development following outplanting is very important.
