摘要
A theoretical analysis is given of the formation of the crystalline structure of steel 45 blooms during radial continuous casting with electromagnetic stirring by means of two inductors at different levels and in different states. Calculated values are compared with experimental results for a number of steels. Electromagnetic stirring leads to refinement of pores and to an increase in their relative volume, with the overall effect of improving the as cast structure, since porosity is more dispersed and easier to eliminate during subsequent mechanical working.
