摘要
The kinetic features of chlorine discharge and ionization at titanium-ruthenium oxide anodes were investigated at different chlorine and chloride concentrations. The Tafel sections in the anodic and cathodic curves were made apparent, and the reaction orders with respect to chlorine and chloride determined. A likely mechanism of the process is suggested. It is shown that under conditions close to industrial practice (pH 2, 87 degree C), chloride ion discharge occurs with a rate-determining last (chemical) step. The same multistep scheme but other surface sites and a rate-determining step appear to be involved when the process occurs via the second pathway.
