摘要：
One-dimensional lattices of equimass particles with analytic nearest-neighbour potentials and fixed ends are considered. For an arbitrary initial condition, expressions are developed which show modes can be excited, and which modes will always have zero amplitude. In particular, all stable modes and stable families of modes are found. © 1990.
