摘要
This paper explores the dynamics of identity construction and representation forms of the gamer culture. It deepens in the relevant social groups, in real-virtual spaces and in the entertainment industries as well as other elements integrating this cyberculture. The article analyzes the set of actors, human and non-human, that shapes the Ecuadorian gamer environment and, in turn, structures their identity and the ways of representing. This paper considers that the identity and representation of Ecuadorian gamers is built by a tension of codes resulting of the social and virtual environments - both multidimensional and complex - that is necessary to unravel and understand in its density.
