BIFURCATION AND CHAOS IN WEAKLY IONIZED MAGNETO-PLASMAS

摘要
The weakly ionized magneto-plasma generated by rf discharge is a nonlinear open dissipative continuous system. It is similar to a reaction-diffusion system with additional electric and Lorentz forces induced transports for the spatial coupling. It exibits self-organized spatio-temporal structure. In this work, the experimental study of the bifurcation from order to turbulence is reviewed. The fine structure and multiplicity of the bifurcations and hysteresis, the spatio-temporal behavior, the fractal and multifractal nature of the chaotic state will also be presented and discussed.
