摘要：
Structural changes at isothermal transformation at 450 C of a cast steel were studied. The steel contained 2. 55 Si, 03 Mn, and 0. 85 C. Fine cementite particles (or also particles of epsilon carbide) were observed in and on the surface of bainite plates. With appropriate orientation of the bainite plate and the thin specimen foil, a morphology in lines of the carbide particles in the plate was ascertained in the final stage of transformation when no more austenite is present in the structure.
