摘要
A sensitive and simplified gas chromatographic procedure has been developed for the determination of hexachlorophene (HCP) in biological tissues and blood sera. The HCP is extracted from lyophilized tissue with benzene. The benzene extracts are injected onto a glass chromatograph column at 230°. An electron capture detector was used. Detection of amounts as low as 0.2 ng HCP are possible with this method. At dilutions used, non-HCP-containing extractables do not cause appreciable interference in serum, liver, and kidney. Additional use of thin-layer chromatography for partial isolation of HCP may be of value for brain tissue. The method has been utilized for rat tissues and blood sera from animals previously washed with hexachlorophene-containing soap solutions. © 1969.
