摘要：
The effect of polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) on the fluorescence of a new styrylcoumarin (SC) dye (flexible bichromophoric electron donor-acceptor (EDA) type) has been investigated. An abrupt enhancement of the fluorescence intensity accompanied by a blue shift is observed when the polymerization approaches the glassy state. This demonstrates the potential analytical application of the SC dye as a sensitive free-volume-dependent fluorescence probe for following polymerization reactions. © 1990.
