摘要
A technique for identifying the nature of electromagnetic emissions is developed. It consists of testing plane wave models against random wave models, using the coherence function. It has the advantage that it can be performed entirely automatically. It is applied here to make an automatic selection of chorus and hiss observed by GEOS. © 1979.
