摘要
Treatment of waste water has now become a major problem in various industries. The major hindrance is the simultaneous existence of different types of pollutants as (i) dyes; (ii) heavy metals; (iii) phenols; (iv) pesticides and (v) pharmaceuticals. Numerous techniques were adopted for decolourization of dyes and removal of metals. The adsorption process is now being widely used by various investigators for waste water treatment. Agricultural wastes as an adsorbents have great potential for the removal of dyes and metals from aqueous solution. The aim of the present study is to review the possible applications of various adsorbents for the removal of dyes and metals. In this review, an extensive list of adsorbents literature has been compiled.
