Wave propagation in catalytic converters: Formulation of the problem and finite element solution scheme

摘要
The fluid-dynamical equations governing wave propagation in catalytic converter elements containing isothermal mean flow are linearized, approximated and written in appropriate forms to act as the basis for a finite element solution scheme involving time harmonic variation. This solution scheme is described and numerical results are presented and compared-where possible-to other published data; favourable agreement is noted. (C) 1995 Academic Press Limited
