摘要
High operational stability is shown for nickel - zinc batteries with a vibrating electrode stack relative to vibration of only the zinc electrodes. Use was proposed for a battery utilizing two electrolytes which provides for carrying out several consecutive cycles in the working day without overheating of the batteries at high specific capacity. The proposed batteries provide 2. 5 times greater vehicular mileage over a working day relative to nickel - zinc batteries with nonsoluble electrodes. Relative to iron - nickel and lead batteries, the mileage per working day is 4. 5-6 6 times greater. During use of these batteries, care should taken at the charging station to perform recharging oeprations, cooling of the electrolyte, filtration or centrifugation of the suspension of nickel oxide particles, centralized removal of gases emitted at the end of charging, and correction of the electrolyte by addition of zinc oxide and water. The predicted operational lifetime of the batteries is 3000 - 4000 cycles.
