摘要
The genus Cladorrhinum Sacc. & Marchal is characterized by the possession of clustered fertile hyphae, each cell of which possesses a lateral phialidic opening (pleurohialides). The genus Bahupaathra Subram. & Lodha, type species B. samala, is synonymized with it. The genus is connected with teleomorphs of Apiosordaria and Cercophora in the Lasiosphaeriaceae, which are reviewed. Apart from the type species, C. foecundussimum Sacc. & Marchal, four other anamorphic species are recognized, C. bulbillaswn W. Gams & Mouchacca sp. nov., C phialophoroides Mouchacca & W. Gams sp. nov., C. samala (Subram. & Lodha) W. Gams & Mouchacca, comb. nov., and C. brunnescens W. Gams. The remaining two distinguishable Cladorrhinum species have been connected with teleomorphs: the aggregate anamorph of several Apiosordaria species and the anamorph of Cercophora samala Udagawa & Muroi originally proposed as being identical to C samala. The latter ascomycete proved, however, to be heterothallic and its mating strains were found to be incompatible with the morphologically distinct Cladorrhinum samala for which no teleomorph has yet been discovered.
