摘要
We report observations which identify the optical/LR counterpart to the X-ray transient GRO J1008 - 57. The counterpart is shown to be an OB star with a strong infrared (IR) excess and Balmer emission lines, suggesting a Be-type primary. No evidence is found for variability in the Ha emission Line over a period of 3 months following the discovery of the counterpart in 1993 December.
