摘要
The study revealed that majority of the respondents found in fruits. 150 sample was selected randomly. The step down regression analysis showed that the factors like production per ha, adverse weather conditions, inadequate storage facilities, inadequate transportation facilities and type of family exerted a significant and positive influence on post harvest losses. In case of vegetables, the fitted regression equation showed that the variation in the variables included in the regression equation explained nearly 80 per cent variation in post harvest losses at farm level. In case of fruits, special mandies were seen highest in Kolar and Tumkur district. In case of vegetables, special mandies were seen highest in Kolar and Hassan districts.
