YBCO(123-211) COMPOSITES APPROACHING THE PERCOLATION LIMIT

Measurements of the superconductor-insulator composite system YBa2CuO7-delta-Y2BaCuO5[(123-211)] show percolation effects due to the weak-link structure of the granular composites. The resistive transitions exhibit reentrant behaviour associated with the separate superconducting transitions of the grains and weak links, and with the semiconducting (211) matrix. Changes in these transitions for different compositional ratios (123:211) are discussed.
