摘要
This article aims to make an approach between the perspective of the successful Colombian's small and medium size enterprises in the XXI century, and scholars of international business in the areas of internationalization. This thematic will be crucial for understanding the dynamics of globalization, whose evolution has created the need to interconnect markets around the world. From a review of documents in the database Redalyc, we present a comparison between advances found in the internationalization of small businesses in Latin America, where you will find that the strategy employed by the manager in a hostile and uncertain environment, and the urgency to break the localists paradigms will be the key to success in internationalization for small and contemporary businesses, as a more open and consistent attitude with the evolution of international business.
