摘要
In this paper an analysis regarding the vibration of thin rectangular plates, embedded on all edges, is presented. The first thirty natural frequencies were obtained for the plate without damage and, afterwards, for the same plate with four different types of damage (rectangular holes). The damage was placed in the plate center in all analyzed cases, the hole's planar surface being increased successively. Numerical simulation results, i.e. frequencies and mode shapes, are presented in tabular and graphic form. These results highlight the way how natural frequencies of rectangular plates change due to a central hole.
