Nietzsche's conception on training: a reading of "Schopenhauer as educator"

摘要
The aim of this paper is to consider the conception of education as self-cultivation, as expressed by Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900), particularly in his third extemporaneous consideration, entitled Schopenhauer as Educator. For Nietzsche, the German higher education is a pragmatic and superficial one, where knowledge is disassociated from life. Thus, by acknowledging the educational problem in Germany Nietzsche proposes a new project of Bildung as self-cultivation - a project focused on training the genius and the development of culture through the exemplariness of the ideal that educates and the affirmation of existence. Nietzsche's Bildung project favors a full and complete formation, wherein all the forces present on the pupil comprise a unit for the sake of the enhancement of life.
