摘要
More than 50 gliadin electrophoretic patterns (Al-lactate, pH 3.1) have been found in a collection of 60 T. monococcum L. ssp. boeoticum accessions. Analyses Of F2 seeds of the two intraspecies crosses revealed two unlinked gliadin-coding loci (Gli-A1bt and Gli-A2bt) in each genotype studied. Each locus controls synthesis of a block of codominantly inherited electrophoretic components. Resemblance of the component composition of some of these blocks and blocks found earlier in T. aestivum and T. durum indicates a close relationship between the A genomes of T. boeoticum and cultivated wheats. A null allele at Gli-A2bt (absence of alpha- and beta-gliadins) in one of the accessions (k-59178) has been found that is inherited in accordance with the 3:1 (presence/absence) ratio. In the other cross, accession k-59173 has a Gli-1A(bt)-controlled alcohol-soluble polypeptide (probably, gliadin) located in the high molecular weight (HMW) glutenin region of the SDS-PAGE electrophoretrogram. This finding makes the consideration of any band found in wheat in this gel region as a ''HMW glutenin subunit'' doubtful without analysis of its genetic control. The obtained results, along with data on economically relevant traits, may aid for selection of breeding parents from T. boeoticum germplasm.
