摘要
The scientific, cultural and social impact of the ideas of Charles Darwin in the intellectual world is an example of how a scientific theory, surpassing the reduced area of a specialists' community, was projected to diverse cultural fields: Theology, Philosophy, Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Linguistics, Literature, Psychology, Architecture and Artistic Creation. The debate on the scientific and cultural impact that Darwin' evolutionary ideas had in Spain during the second half of the 19th century, is analyzed through texts of academic, cultural and popular science magazines, mass media, literary fiction, etc.
